The Golden Carp began with the concept that you don't have to spend exorbitant amounts of money to create a beautiful home environment. With the task of satisfying local and visiting customers, we have diversified our merchandise to satisfy all tastes. After 20 successful years, the shop has grown from a small two room shop within one of Dillsboro's charming residences to a 1400 square foot showroom filled with a combination of local and global home accessories, baskets, pottery and occasional pieces all complimented by original watercolors of artist in residence (And also one of the owners), John P. Miele, along with other select artists. Also being showcased are the local talents of various artists/artisans: Pottery by Kay Ash, Pillows and custom work by Nell Nations, Freeze-dried Florals by Judy McManus and Watercolors by Pamela Haddock, Lawrence Daneke and Ken Bowser.
